Cerro Catedral, standing at 514 meters (1,686 feet), is the highest point in Uruguay. This highpoint is located in the Sierra Carapé range and easily accessible via dirt road followed by a short walk to the summit. While not at all challenging, Cerro Catedral offers a quiet, scenic place to enjoy the rolling hills and rural charm of southeastern Uruguay.
