Nevado Sajama is the highest point in Bolivia, reaching 21,463 feet (6,542 meters) in the rugged heart of the Andes.  This extinct volcano offers a true adventure for those drawn to the wild. Far from the well-trodden paths of more famous summits, Sajama rewards climbers with raw beauty, solitude, and high-altitude challenge. While the climb is considered non-technical, the mountain’s extreme elevation, cold temperatures, and unpredictable weather require proper acclimatization and preparation.
